For many years, MukiBaum has created opportunities for the artists that we serve to exhibit their art in various public facilities thus showcasing their artistic abilities to the community at large. In order to ensure that such opportunities will be available to our MukiBaum artists and to other, non MukiBaum artists with disabilities, we created a fabulous art gallery in our Centre For Ability. The gallery is specifically designated to exhibit art created by MukiBaum artists and other artists who, due to their challenges, cannot find opportunities to exhibit their work.
Since moving into the Centre For Ability in June of 2008, the artists participating in our Art Program have been working very hard to create new paintings. We are proud to announce that they are ready to show their new paintings in an exhibition called: Inner Treasures…Outer Expressions. The paintings are a clear illustration of just how important it is to provide such opportunities that allow for accessibility of talent; MukiBaum is simply the vehicle that provides such opportunities to the people we serve – it is their talents that we are hoping to showcase to the world.
On Thursday, March 4th, 2010 at 6:30 pm at our Centre For Ability, we are thrilled to host the opening night of Inner Treasures…Outer Expressions, a MukiBaum Art Show. This show will celebrate the talents of the people we serve.
The exhibition will be open to the public to enjoy and we encourage the community to come out and see this inspirational showcase.
